Ginger: Eating ginger may help reduce obesity through some different ways, such as increasing heat production and lipolysis in the body, reducing fat accumulation, inhibiting absorption in the intestine, and controlling appetite, according to a study published in the journal Phytotherapy research in 2017, [ 6] Another study published in Critical Reviews in Food Science and Nutrition in 2018 indicated that ginger may contribute to a lower body mass index, and a reduction in the circumference of the buttocks.
